Haffner Energy won the first prize of the Pollutec Innovation Awards during the online ceremony of December 2nd.
Organized by Pollutec, the major international environment fair, jointly with PEXE, the French network of eco-companies, the prize aims to “distinguish the most remarkable innovations with strong market potential in the fields of environment and energy“.
After evaluating more than 80 proposals, the expert jury, consisting of major banks and energy players, decided to reward the innovation of the HYNOCA® process with the contest’s first prize.
Thanks to this solution, backed up by 10 years of Research & Development and a first industrial unit under construction in Strasbourg, it is now possible to produce decarbonated and completely renewable hydrogen from biomass.
“Twenty years ago when I became Director of Pollutec, hydrogen was mocked by many (…)“, reacted Sylvie Fourn, Pollutec’s Director of Construction, Environment, Industry, Health and Security. “Today, I’m thrilled to see a hydrogen production unit rewarded by an innovation award. It just goes to show you should alwas believe in innovation and in progress“.
