DNV confirms the successful qualification testing of the new H6 generation for syngas production

On August 6, Haffner Energy announced that it had successfully reached the main qualification milestone for its new H6 generation for syngas production, under the supervision of a leading independent international organization.

Today, October 14, we received the final report from DNV regarding this first phase of qualification.

DNV (Det Norske Veritas) is an international group and one of the leading organizations specializing in the independent assessment of industrial technologies and facilities.

Following an in-depth assessment involving the analysis of hundreds of operational data points collected during testing, this report formally documents the conclusions of this first qualification phase.

It is important to emphasize that this qualification specifically concerns our new H6 generation, rather than the underlying principle of our thermolysis technology, which has already been proven over several thousand hours of operation with the H3 and H4 generations.

DNV notably concludes:

“DNV agrees that the test was successful.”

“Stable operation was achieved.”

“The technology concept is functional.”

Syngas, primarily composed of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, is the precursor from which most of the renewable molecules we are targeting can be produced.

We also confirm that the next qualification phase, scheduled to take place during this quarter in line with the timeline announced this summer, will focus on producing mobility-grade hydrogen from the syngas generated by H6.

As mobility-grade hydrogen represents the most demanding application in terms of purity among those we are targeting, this next milestone will also make it possible to extend H6’s validated performance to other renewable molecules, particularly renewable methane and methanol.
