Stephan POTTIER joined the Haffner Energy Group in May 2023 as Assistant Director of R&D, where he established the R&D team and led the development of new biomass thermolysis processes. He was appointed Director of Research & Development in 2026.
Stephan POTTIER has gained extensive experience in research and development and in managing technical teams within major industrial groups. He held positions as R&D Manager at Kadant and then as Technical Services Manager at ArcelorMittal Construction
At Haffner Energy, he led the development of processes for producing syngas, hydrogen, and sustainable alternative fuels (SAF), as well as the establishment of the HYNOCA® industrial demonstration site.
He holds an engineering degree from Arts et Métiers and studied in Châlons-sur-Marne and Paris.
