Canada: From Ambition to Execution

10/28/2026
from Philippe Haffner, Haffner Energy CEO

These eight days in Canada marked a decisive step in moving our partnership with Mundi Énergies into its execution phase.

The objective: to meet the ecosystem surrounding Mundi Énergies and the key people who will help turn our projects into industrial reality from 2027 onwards.

Starting with the shareholders of Mundi Énergies, in addition to Sylvain Perreault, Lilianne Trudel, Christian Blais and the Gosselin family (Go Forest), whom we have already introduced:

➡️ The Guérin family and Groupe Vegco, key players in onion and root vegetable production in Canada, farming several thousand hectares;

➡️ Martin Chapados, a leading executive in international asset management;

➡️ Me Serge Fournier, a highly respected senior business lawyer in Montreal and co-founder of FCA Légal.

But this week allowed us to go far beyond Mundi’s shareholders.

➡️ Seneca, a major Canadian industrial engineering company, is working on the integration of our equipment in Canada under the leadership of Frédéric Aubut, Vice-President, Major Projects. Two days of working sessions with Frédéric and his team helped move our projects forward.

➡️ High-level discussions with senior representatives of Quebec’s new government, as well as with leading financial players, particularly those specialising in carbon credit markets.

➡️ Several industrial companies, including Machinerie Dubois, capable of manufacturing some of our equipment locally while meeting our quality and confidentiality requirements.

The key to reaching FID (Final Investment Decision): bringing together all the essential components of a project.

Agriculture, forestry, biomass, engineering, industry, science, finance and institutional support: all the necessary elements are in place, backed by a North American momentum and determination that Europe could certainly learn from.

We will soon share more about the 40 C-iB modules reserved under CORE100 and the projects for which they are intended.

For Haffner Energy, Canada is no longer simply a market with incredible potential.

It is now a market where industrial deployment is clearly taking shape.
